Dear Panther Families,
It was a great week of learning. Our teachers had time on Monday to reflect on learning goals, further analyze beginning of the year assessment data and plan lessons.
We enjoyed talking with many of you at both the Principals Coffee and the PTA meeting this morning.
Next Thursday evening, from 5:30-6:15, Kim Keleher, Advanced Academics Resource Teacher, will be sharing more information about the AAP Level IV Referral Process in the LA Room. In addition, from 6:00-6:45, teachers and lesson plans will be available in the cafeteria if you need to preview the Family Life Education Lessons. There is no presentation at the FLE Preview. It is just an opportunity for parents to see the lessons. The session is a PARENT ONLY event. NO students will be allowed in the session.
Have a great weekend!

FCPS is celebrating Digital Citizenship Week from October 21-25, 2019! This year’s theme is Media Balance and Well-Being: Developing a Healthy Relationship with Your Technology. Our school is celebrating Digital Citizenship Week with spirit days and activities focused on developing healthy habits around technology use. Students will have a choice board to select at least one activity a day that matches the daily theme. Parents can also choose to sign up to receive text messages from Common Sense Media with Tips for Health Tech Balance (for children ages 3-8).
Stay tuned for a message each day about suggested family activities you can do to support Digital Citizenship at home!Impact Aid Forms Coming Home
Beginning on October 21, FCPS will be asking all families to fill out a Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid.
Returning this form is important because information from this survey results in an additional $3 million in grants each year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.
For each school-aged child in your household, please complete, sign, date, and return the survey to your child's school. If sections 1 and 2 of the survey do not apply to you, just check the box in Section 3. All forms must be signed, dated, and returned by October 30. All results are CONFIDENTIAL.
