Ms. Wooden Recognized as FCPS 2020 Region 5 Outstanding School-based Professional Employee
Congratulations to our technology support specialist Sharron Wooden who was recognized as the FCPS 2020 Region 5 Outstanding School-based Professional Employee!
Sharron is the heart of Poplar Tree Elementary. Her office is the “Tech Depot” - the home of the Paw Tech Squad. One student said, “When you walk into the school, you might feel tired, but when you walk into the Tech Depot and see Ms. Wooden, suddenly you're focused on the moment and ready to do your best.” While her title may not include educating students, what they learn from Sharron is incredibly valuable! Sharron has the ability to address all technology needs with the goal of building capacity as she teaches students and staff on how to solve their challenges. Without Sharron’s leadership and passion, PTES would not be engaging in the powerful learning opportunities that happen daily around the building.
